Wills can be prepared
from the simplest to the most complicated and advice given where
foreign assets are owned. Tax planning advice is given.
Wills can be used by husband and wife to maximize the amount that
they can pass down to their children free of inheritance tax. We
have extensive experience of "nil-rate band discretionary trusts"
in wills and how these can be used to save inheritance tax on the
family home
Following a death all aspects of the administration of the estate
can be dealt with including obtaining the grant of probate or letters
of administration, administering and distributing the estate and
dealing with all taxation matters.
Advice can be given on further tax planning involving the estate,
particularly through the use of deeds of variation.
Where the Will or financial provision is disputed our specialist
advice can be given.
Lifetime matters can also be dealt with and advice given on Powers
of Attorney and the administration of affairs of people who are
mentally incapable of managing their own finances. Advice can also
be given on living Wills. We have particular experience of giving
advice to the elderly.
